We are deeply saddened to have heard of the death of Deacon Teodoro Camacho. ’95 who passed to the Lord on Monday, November 4, 2019. Deacon Teodoro was ordained for the Archdiocese of Boston on October 1, 1995. Subsequently, he and his family moved to Southbridge Massachusetts and Deacon Camacho been serving in the Diocese of Worcester for many years. The funeral arrangements are as follow:

+ Lord God, you sent your Son Jesus into the world to preach the Good News of salvation and to pour out his Spirit of grace upon your Church. Look with kindness upon your son and your servant, Deacon Teodoro. As a deacon in the Church he was strengthened by the gift of the Spirit to preach the Good News, to minister in your assembly, and to do the works of charity. Give him now the reward promised to those who show their love for you by service to their neighbor. We ask this through Christ, our Lord. Amen.

OBITUARY
Southbridge...Deacon Teodoro Camacho, 65, a longtime resident of Southbridge, died at home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, November 4, 2019. He leaves his wife of 31 years, Rita (Hernandez) Camacho. They were married September 17, 1988.

He leaves 2 sons Reynaldo Camacho of Waltham, Edgardo Camacho of Southbridge, and 2 daughters Kiara Camacho-Martinez and her husband Victor of Worcester, and Clarissa Camacho of Southbridge, and 3 grandchildren Frankie, Antonio and Aaliyah Camacho, and his mother Carmen Lopez of Waltham. He also is survived by 3 brothers Miguel Rivera and his wife Evelyn of Southbridge, Raul Melendez of Waltham, Jose Camacho and his wife Marilyn of Chicago, and 4 sisters Carmen Giron and her husband Byron of Waltham, Gladys Melendez of Waltham, Kathy Camacho- Martinez and her husband Alberto of Chicago, and Milagros Camacho of Chicago, many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother William Camacho.

He was born in Orocovis, Puerto Rico, January 18, 1954, son of the late Teodoro Camacho who died July 27, 2018. He was a member of St. John Paul II Parish, where he was a permanent Deacon of the parish. He was Ordained a Permanent Deacon on October 1, 1995, with his first assignment at St. Mary’s Church in Waltham. He came to Saint Mary’s Church Southbridge about 18 years ago.

Deacon Camacho was the founder of the Padre Pio Charismatic Church Group of the Diocese of Worcester, and Pope John XXIII Retreat Group. He also enjoyed the New York Yankees, Dallas Cowboys, and the Philadelphia 76's, but most of all he loved his family and church. He retired from the Mira Corporation in Oxford, where he worked for 30 years.

The funeral will be Saturday, November 9, 2019, with the Mass at 10AM at Notre Dame Church, (please meet directly at the church) 446 Main Street, Southbridge, MA 01550, burial will follow at St. Hedwig Cemetery, N. Woodstock Road, Southbridge, MA 01550.

Calling hours will be Friday, November 8, 2019, from 5-8PM at Notre Dame Church, 446 Main Street, Southbridge, MA 01550, followed by a Vigil Service at 8PM.
